The  Nicola Development Company, LLC was formed in January, 2006  by Jim and Chris Hopkins. The Nicola building at 101-107 E. Third Street, Uhrichsville, houses four commercial office/retail spaces at street level while the second floor has four walk-up apartments.

Living downtown affords many opportunities since many conveniences are located within walking distance of the Nicola Building, including a grocery store, a hardware store, the Claymont Public Library, the Uhrichsville Post Office, a department store, and restaurants, just to name a few.
